Dr. Sharan A/P Silvarajoo is a highly trained Consultant Ophthalmologist with extensive experience in clinical ophthalmology, surgical practice, medical education, and research. She is committed to delivering high-quality eye care while actively contributing to the advancement of ophthalmic training and academic excellence.

She plays a key role in the development of future ophthalmologists through structured teaching, surgical training, and mentorship. Her academic contributions include regular case presentations, active involvement in research, and publications at both national and international levels.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Sharan is actively involved in community eye care initiatives aimed at reducing preventable blindness. These include outreach programmes such as cataract camps and community eye screening services, focusing on early detection and treatment accessibility.

She is also an active member of the Young Ophthalmologists group under the Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology, where she has served in leadership roles including Treasurer and Committee Member. In addition, she contributes to hospital, state, and national ophthalmology programmes and serves as a trainer in Training of Trainers (TOT) initiatives.
